can't access to a Forefront file from my domain Web server

Hi,

I am a Web developer and I work in an educational institute. Two years ago, I created a Web application that profs can access while teaching to block internet access to any of the classroom’s computers, so their students don’t get distracted by playing games or by surfing on the internet and they are forced to listen to them.

I took advantage of the script ISA_Fill_Computer_Set_Computers.vbs ; my program dynamically created a .txt file containing compName;ipAddress for each of these computers, then this .txt was used by the vb script to populate a computer list on our ISA server. My colleagues created an internet access rule on ISA server that then blocked internet access to these computers. Everything was ok.

Then, by last year’s end, my colleagues installed Forefront TMG 2010 version 7.0.7734 proxy/firewall on our ISA server running on Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise and since then, my program does not work. I have always the same message : Network path not found

I’m not even able to access my .txt file located on the Forefront server anymore, so I can’t imagine how to execute a vb script on it….

m not at all comfortable with ISA server/Forefront, I asked my colleagues for help : they sorted it out for me 2 years ago and installed & configured Forefront several months ago.

They have suggested to me to make a shared directory on the Forefront server and put inside my script and my .txt file containing the computers to be blocked (what I did) ; they opened files and printers shares to the internet (SMB-in), they created a rule that allows protocol Microsoft CIFS from source (my web server) to destination (the Forefront firewall), they say they tried everything they could think of but still when I log onto my Web server and just try to go to\\ourTGMfirewall\mySharedDirectory, it fails.

I also tried accessing to the forefront server by creating a process with my program that does this :

 C:\mySharedDirectory\psexec.exe \\ourTGMfirewall -u adminLogin -p adminPassword cscript C:\mySharedDirectory\ISA_Fill_Computer_Set_Computers.vb mySharedDirectory  C:\mySharedDirectory\myComputerList.txt

But .NET can’t start the process on the Forefront computer. What a surprise.

Is there anyone who can think of a way to allow our domain Web server to access a ForeFront TMG-located directory, write on a text file and then execute a vb script on the Forefront server?

Thank you for spending your time at it.
