Scenario: Migrating from ISA 2006 to TMG 2010 according to official link
At last step besides changing IP address we also rename TMG to match previous ISA 2006 and that crashed the server with several issues:
1) Updating new names con Configuation storage failed
2) TMG Services not coming up
3) Very slow user logon process to the server it self
4) Errors that domain controllers could not be contacted
So lot of errors, by we decided to go for a reinstall and we will go for not retaining all name but to force new proxy name to IE through AD GPO
Question is does anyone knows whether renaming TMG is supported or not or what is the proper steps to do it because we could not find any explicit way on which was the right way to do it
Secondly besides pushing new proxy name to IE user workstations, any other suggestions so we have no impact on users ?
