At my workplace we are transitioning from isa 2006 standard to tmg 2010 standard. The installation of tmg 2010 was completed successfully. I exported the configuration from the isa 2006 server and imported it to the tmg 2010 server.
Since I am importing the configuration, would the computer name of the tmg 2010 server need to be the same as the isa 2006 server?
Reason I'm asking is because on the tmg server, when i navigate to networking, then networks, then properties of the internal network, then forefront tmg client tab. The server name for the isa 2006 server shows up for forefront tmg client configuration and client computer web browser configuration. Do I just need to browse and select the tmg server.
And also does isa firewall client differ from tmg firewall client? Or can the isa firewall client detect the tmg server?
