I have a computer on a remote network that cannot connect to an RDC server. I recently moved the RDC server using VMWare converter. When I finished the move I realized the MAC address and the IP Address had changed. I changed the reservation to look for the new MAC address and rebooted the server.
I now have one computer on the other side of a site-to-site VPN that cannot connect to this RDC Server. The connection will be made and I can see on the RDC that it is connected. However, it will hang with a blank screen (mouse visible).
On the TMG server I have logging set up and when I try to connect I get the following denied message:
A non-SYN packet was dropped because it was sent by a source that does not have an established connection with the Forefront TMG computer
The remote computer can connect to any other RDC server in my local site and another other computer in the remote site can connect to the problem RDC server.
I have tried resetting the network adapter, clearing the DNS cache on all machines that might be relevant, cleared the ARP tables on all machines that might be relevant.
I am not sure what else to look for.
The local network has a TMG2010 firewall and the remote network has a Cisco RV180. It is configured for IPSec Site to Site VPN.
